Sunday School
What is Sunday School all about? † It's about discovering how the Bible is relevant in your life - how it fits into every day life and shows up in everything you do. † It's an environment where you feel totally supported. You can ask the hardest questions as you're figuring out how to apply spiritual truths to your own experiences. † It's a chance to talk with other fellow believers and together look for meaningful answers to issues that come up in your lives. What's taught in Sunday School? Each Sunday School class is designed to meet your needs as a student of the Word. Sunday School is taught by -well prepared and knowledgeable teachers. Classes are based on the Bible, and you will find yourself going deeper into the things of God. Classes are taught at all age levels from 5 years to adults. When, where and what time does Sunday School start? Our Sunday school classes occur each Sunday in our Fellowship Hall and classrooms @ 9:00am.

Bible Study
What is Bible Study all about? † It's about God’s instructions, promises and His Word to us. † Bible study is about discovering Bible truths and dispelling false teachings and misinformation. † It is about heeding God’s Word according to Matthew 4:4, "Man does not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God". † It is about equipping us to serve God and to help others as we are directed in 2 Timothy 3:16-17. † It provides practical advice and moral direction for our real life application. † It increases our knowledge base which results in knowing God better. What's taught in Bible Study? Each Bible Study class is designed to meet your needs as a student of the Word. Bible Study at NBWC is a class of ordinary people led by our pastor. Basic Bible history, truths, and teachings are taught, as well as in depth reviews of other leading compatible resources. Knowing what the Bible says firsthand and having some knowledge of its context is vital in understanding current events and key ideas addressed such as the nature and existence of God, the human condition, the biblical pattern of redemption and salvation and ethics.

Deacon and Deaconess Ministry
Empowering through the Deacon and Deaconess Ministry… † 1 Timothy 3:13 makes it clear that ministering as a deacon or deaconess is a rewarding and honorable calling in the church. † Deacons and Deaconess are servants first. † The Deacons and Deaconess of NBWC are men and women who are assigned to assist the Pastor and members in spiritual matters of the church. † They serve in areas such as baptism, prayer request, visiting the sick and shut-in, and caring and assisting families during their time of bereavement. The Purpose of the Deacon and Deaconess Ministry is to: The Deacon and Deaconess Ministry frees the pastoral staff for prayer, preparation and ministering the Word; serves the Lord in spiritual ways; possesses a firm grasp of sound doctrine; advances the unity of the church; and promotes evangelism. When does the Deacon and Deaconess Ministry meet? The Deacon and Deaconess Ministry meets the third Wednesday of each month and as the need arises.

Youth Church
What is Youth Church all about? † It provides a Christ centered but structured worship experience for young people. † It is a youth-friendly environment that meets youth at their level. † It prepares young believers to become active Disciples of Christ. † Youth Church helps young people decide “whom they will serve”. † It supports the belief that “what you learn early, you learn deep” (First Lady Elvita A. Hunt) † NBWC Youth Church teaches young believers how to live and grow according to God’s Word in today’s peer directed society. † It trains and equips young believers for spiritual warfare. What's taught in Youth Church? At NBWC Youth Church falls under the umbrella of Christian Education. Basic Bible stories and lessons are interspersed with present day life applications for children in grades K-12. NBWC Youth Church promotes spiritual development through focus on relationship building: - Establishing/maintaining a personal relationship with God through study, prayer and worship; - Fellowshipping with peers who adhere to being in the right place with the right person doing what Jesus would do; - Aligning with mentors and adults to provide support for spiritual goals; - Collaborating with leadership that teaches today those things that will be needed tomorrow. When, where and what time does Youth Church start? The NBWC Youth Church meets the third Sunday of each month in our Educational Room @ 10:00 AM.

The Nursery
The Bible has specific promises about God’s presence when children are welcomed and loved in Jesus’ name. The most important and vulnerable members of our church family are entrusted to our care in the Nursery. God blesses those who serve His children. The nursery, which is always staffed with two qualified adults, is also available for infants and toddlers. The NBWC Nursery is open each Sunday at 9:50 AM. The Nursery at NBWC is a vital ministry because … - It provides a child with his/her first experience with church; - It provides the first contact for the church and young families; - It provides an opportunity for spiritual growth as we model Jesus’ example of service to others; - It provides a powerful opportunity for prayer and spiritual nurture. - It promotes the spiritual development of infants and toddlers. † A peaceful and positive experience in a clean and secure environment. † Age appropriate snacks are available. † It allows parents to focus on the worship rather than worry about their children.
